First picture works but the rest are black?

Just got a new Instax Mini 8, I put film in and the first photo I took developed fine. But then I tried to take more and they all came out black, no matter the settings/lighting. Tried a different pack of film and same thing happened; first photo went great, the rest won't develop at all. Is there a way to fix this?
