External HDD suddenly is VERY slow on MAC.

I have an external HDD used on an iMac.

Suddenly from one day to next, it starts got get really really slow. Taking a document from HDD to folder on iMac can take forever.

Any ideas as to what this is?

I have tried on other mac, same problem.

Also i have placed it in a new USB adaptor.

I also tryed reparing it, with disc utility.

nothing works……
