presuming you have already done the obvious of updating the WIFI drivers from the laptop manufacturer, or the WIFI card manufacturer ( if available ) [br]

my money is on either a faulty WIFI card or the cable has internal damage. [br]
does the wifi card get warmer than usual?[br]

i had very similar recently and it was the cable. the external cover was untouched but due to poor cable routing it caused internal damage. [br]
replaced the wifi cable with a random one to test and was perfect. [br]
