The short answer is no i’m afraid! but i have salvaged a few devices in the past that suffered from liquid spillage.

The fact that the liquid spillage went unnoticed may have permeated the interior. I have in the past also spilled wine over my laptop but immediately turned the keyboard over and left it to drip onto a dish towel placed under the machine…having said that! on dismantling the bottom cover from the top & removing the PCB some liquid had reached the innards.

Being brief: I then cleaned the whole board using a soft toothbrush and isopropyl alcohol… I have also had success previously using a small amount of washing up liquid in some warm water the toothbrush and lots of patience.

Once you have finished this, rinse off the board with cold water shake the excess water off then either place the board/boards on top of a central heating radiator or if dry windy sunny outside i have in the past literally hung out my pcb’s to dry “YES” on the washing line with success. Perhaps some would rather just replace the phone or computer etc rather than this rigmarole but their you go.
