Try this

Downloaded the latest printer firmware from Dell.

Start the printer with a toner cartridge removed.

Execute Dell firmware upgrade program and it recognized that the printer was connected and allow the the firmware to be loaded.

When the firmware installation completed,  restarted the printer and monitor the outcome.
