There is a lens release button on the camera body that when pushed in it allows me to remove the lens ring and add a converter. This tiny hook shaped tab holds the folded lip of the converter in place. Without it locking, my converter w/ wide angle lens loosen. I must use my 8' camera pole with a locking camera mount. Is there a chance of replacing the complete mechanism? [image|1384370]

Can I replace the ring release button? The inner tab (which locks the added converter in place) is broke off. Well, just half of the tab is missing. I still have all but the very tip that engages the flange of the converter thus locking it into place. Can anybody think of something that I can do to remedy my problem? This camera is so underrated. The little plastic tab that holds the converter in place has broken off. I am not speaking about the button on the outside that you push to unlock the ring. The converter loosens while not being locked in position. I use a wide angle lens & an 8' camera pole while taking pictures of clients roofs. Though I use a locking quick release, the converter & lens can't be tethered, so I am always worried & checking the converter. Is there any chance of replacing the tab or the complete mechanism?
