Since you have an iPad 2, Apple hasn't pushed out security updates for Safari in a few years, so your browser is likely easily compromised,

You can go to Settings --> Safari and clear data and cache to see if it resolves the issue, but security wise Firefox and Chrome are more updated and secure than an iPad 2 Safari which is no longer serviced by Apple.
