-	Is there a certain procedure on how to format the new drive for the iPod do the restore?

-	Tried putting a 30GB and the iPod just kept clicking and stopping the drive and didn't let me restore it.
+	It appears the 4th generation hard drives aren't compatible with the 1 and 2 gens. The 3rd gens drives are compatible and the largest is 20GB.
