Although I don't work for iFixit, I can answer this question, iFixit teardowns are mostly done by users, people don't ship gadgets to them and get them torn down, the point is that you go and make a teardown [http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/new|which you can do here], and post it to the site. Hopefully it'll work when you're done with it, and have fun.
