But before you do this make sure you have backed up your important data and after you clean your system you'll need to clean up your backups before you trust them (re-infecting you).
I would still talk with Dell on getting the replacement CD/DVD's that came with your system. Sorry to say they will likely charge you a small fee & shipping. But having them can be a life saver. I would also create a bootable USB flash drive (or HD) after you get things cleaned up as having a second drive can help in maintaining your system.
