Mission accomplished - But why are the screws so small?

My wife's 3GS battery just wouldn't hold a charge. Since we're only 6 months from the (rumored) new iPhone 5 release, she didn't want to buy a new one new. With ifixit's picture tutorial, I figured, hey, no problem - I can do it.

Mijn oplossing

The repair went well. The picture tutorials were great. Not spectacular, because some closeups of some of the parts would have been really nice, but they were very helpful and I got the job done. I would definitely replace other parts (if necessary and out of AppleCare) via ifixit again.

Mijn advies

First, be sure to check that the sim card fits before you screw things back down. It was a terrible experience having spent about an hour trying to get those tiny screws in place only to find out everything wasn't properly in place and the sim card wouldn't fit. Sad times.

I had no idea how difficult it would be to get the screws back into place. My wife decided to give me a hand after ___ minutes of me yelling at them. She offered me some tweezers - GET SOME TWEEZERS! They made the screws so much easier to handle. Other than that, take your time, and you'll be just fine.
