Mijn probleem
During the summer, I took the kids camping. I had survived the whole weekend without any trouble until the last evening. My youngest had placed some candy in the ice chest, which had opened up and started to melt in the water and ice. I was trying to get it out in the dark, which made it difficult. I had my phone and decided to use the flashlight feature on it, to see what I was doing. Well, in the process, the lid came down and hit my hand, which was holding the phone. You know the rest of the story; phone falls out of hand into the cold water in the ice chest. I took it out quickly, but water had already gotten into the phone. Miraculously, the phone still worked, but as time went on, the battery started to drain quicker and quicker. Ordered the replacement battery, and all is fine and dandy now. Thanks!!!
Mijn oplossing
Repair was pretty easy. I had previously opened my iPhone before, so it made it easier this time around. Only trouble I had was with the double stick tape behind the battery. Finally got it off, and installed the new one. No real hitch.
Mijn advies
Make sure when removing the double stick tape on the battery, to pull nice and slow and at an angle. If you pull straight up, you will rip it. Then, you will need to apply heat to the back of the phone to get the adhesive warmed up to release its hold.
