My Ipad fell on the floor, won't charge or turn on
My IPad 2 slipped out of it's case and fell on the floor. It won't charge or turn on. I would like to get it fixed since it is a 32GB but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg.

A family member has asked me to have a look at their LG TV. It’s a 55UH950V and they have said it has started ‘turning off.
It’s not though, the backlight is going off. If I shine a torch you can see the dim display.
There is no trend to how long it lasts, sometimes it’s over a minute, sometimes it is a few seconds before the screen dims.
As soon as the backlight goes off the orange indicator light on the power board flashes 4x in sequence.
I am thinking it could be the power board as the backlight looks fine until it goes dim.
Any ideas?
Which 18V do I test on the board?
I have done a couple out backlight changes on a 55” in the past but not an edge lit so that will be new to me, if they need changing!

How can I fix my DVD player that does not turn on?

There isn't much to go by, but a DVD player is a quite simple device. I think it to be one of three things:
1. Bad cord or power connection. If the cord detaches from the player, make sure there is no debris inside the cord or player. If you can, use a multi meter to test continuity. Also, make sure that outlet is good by plugging other devices into it.
2. Electric problems. The player may have been exposed to static electricity, which could have ruined it. Or, the player was not on a surge protector during a surge. Alternatively, the voltage for the player may be different from what you have in your house. Either 120v or 240v.
3. Power button is broken, which will happen after too much wear and use. If this occurs, it should power on by pressing eject or using the button on the remote.
Hope this helps!

Ok basicly I incorrectly wired an aux port to my car stereo and pluged my nexus into the audio port. Ever since my mic dosnt work and my media volume dosnt work. My speakers will work if the phone is rang but not if I play music etc. If I use headphones I can hear media volume and also use the mic on the headphones. I'm not sure if I've destroyed the headphone port with stray voltage from stereo or if the phone is stuck in headset mode any ideas people!!??

Hello,
I was repairing an iPhone 5 today. When I joined everything together I tested the screen and everything looked fine. I then left the screen turned on, but when I start putting the screen in the frame to secure it, the LCD image suddenly disappears but the backlight stays on. Turning the phone on/off still works at that point so it's a screen related issue I think.
When I lift the screen up again, and press the power button twice to go in and out of stand-by, the screen works again, and I can reproduce the above process.
I don't know what to do, as soon as I try to put the phone together, the LCD image stops working! Is my screen faulty?
Is this a known problem? I can't seem to find it on Google.
Willem.

I got a 2005 cavalier 2.2. The starter and battery have been replaced new. Not check engine lights. Car has been running great since the starter was changed. Since it got cold below 75 degrees Celsius the car no longer starts or cranks. I've checked the pcm for corrosion. I've checked all the fuses. Any thoughts?

Check all your grounds for corrosion. Take them off, clean surfaces and re-install. Use a voltage meter and check volts to battery and starter before and while trying to crank it over. Also check continuity between starter and ground while trying to crank it over. be careful not to touch anything metal to positive and ground at the same time. PS: 12volt car battery will not shock you. voltage at battery and starter is safe to touch...but once it goes through the coils beware...then it can shock you. If you touch metal to both positive and ground/negative at the same time it can and will spark and arc...like welding...it can burn you and can be very dangerous. please take necessary caution.
Oeps! Ik zou graag mijn mening herzien.
