Soften the mouse feet adhesive

  • Flip the mouse's power switch into the OFF position, unplug any cables, and flip it over so the feet are facing up.

  • The unique shape of some mice can prevent them from laying flat. If you need to, lay your mouse on a soft towel to prevent wobble.

  • If you're planning to reuse your existing mouse feet, note that the adhesive needs to be thoroughly heated for them to be cleanly removed.

  • Apply a heated iOpener to the left and right mouse feet for about one minute each.

  • Alternatively, you can use a hair dryer to soften the mouse feet adhesive.

  • When using a hair dryer, don't heat the feet for more than a couple seconds at a time—anything hotter than just warm to the touch risks melting or warping the plastic lower case.

  • The information sticker adhesive may soften during this step, but you don't need to remove it.

Ramollir l'adhésif des patins de la souris

Mettez la souris sur OFF, débranchez tous les câbles, et retournez la souris pour que les patins soient au-dessus.

La forme particulière de certaines souris peut les empêcher de tenir à plat. Si besoin, déposez votre souris sur une serviette pour l'empêcher de bouger.

Si vous prévoyez de réutiliser les patins existants, notez qu'il faudra bien les faire chauffer pour les retirer proprement.

Appliquez un iOpener chauffé sur chaque patin, pendant environ une minute chacun.

Vous pouvez aussi utiliser un sèche-cheveux pour ramollir l'adhésif des patins de la souris.

Avec un sèche-cheveux, ne chauffez pas les patins pendant plus de quelques secondes à la fois : si ça devient plus chaud que tout juste agréable au toucher, on risque de faire fondre ou de déformer le boîtier inférieur en plastique.

L'adhésif de l'autocollant d'information peut ramollir également pendant cette étape, mais vous n'avez pas besoin de l'enlever.
