LG Front Load Washing Machine Air Dome Replacement

Inleiding

Use this guide to replace the air dome or air chamber in your LG front load washing machine.

The air dome helps regulate the water level inside the tub. If the dome is cracked, your washer may overflow.

This guide will work for most LG front load washing machines. This guide is written with a model WM3050CW washer. If you have a different model, you may encounter some minor disassembly differences, but the overall repair process will be the same.

    • Before you begin your repair, perform the following:

    • Turn off the main water supply

    • Unplug your washer

    • Disconnect all water connections at the rear of your washer

    • Remove the screw(s) securing the rear panel.

    • Unclip the rear panel from the chassis.

    • Pull the hose straight off the air dome hose to disconnect it.

    • Remove the screw(s) securing the air dome.

    • Use slip joint pliers to pinch the air dome hose clamp and pull it over the dome itself.

    • Pull the air dome straight off its hose to remove it.
