Background
Xiaomi Yi, or Yi Action Camera, was released on March 2, 2015, by Xiaomi Technology Co., Ltd. This camera was made for outdoor enthusiasts and travelers interested in shooting high-quality images. It is recognized for its image processor, the Ambarella A7LS, which allows the user to wirelessly connect to the Mobile App available for smartphones.
It features Wi-Fi 802.11 b, g, and n compatible, with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a CMOS sensor. It is equipped with autofocus shooting, a rechargeable and removable battery, and a microSD memory card.
Identification
The Xiaomi Yi is made of plastic and weighs only 2.54 ounces. The body is two-tone, with lime green on the front and teal (or turquoise) on the rest of the camera, though it’s also available in all white.
You can identify the camera by its box-like shape and angular design. The model name, Yi, is printed on the battery door on the back of the camera.
