Background and Identification
The Sony PlayStation Camera is the 2nd generation console camera, released in 2007. This model is identified by the name PlayStation Camera and model number CUH-ZEY1 on the left hand side on the bottom of the device. The camera is light weight (~ 5.93 oz) making it ideal for gaming on the go.
The PlayStation Camera has resolutions of 1280x800p, 640x400p, and 320x192p available with the stereo cameras on the device. The camera also houses a 4 channel microphone array for stereo audio reception, and audio tracking abilities for gaming.
With a cable length of over 6 feet, the options for placing the camera are not limited to the proximity of the console itself.
