Highly reliable and proficient for most computing needs. The Think Pad R40 design is sturdy and has a good battery life. The hard drive is 40GB and the processor is an Intel Pentium 4 M @ 1.3 GHz. The Think Pad R series laptops were very good for their price but have outdated graphics.
The thinkpad R40 can be identified by a red/green/blue IBM and white thinkpad logo on the top of the cover. The series and number are in white and located below the screen in the bottom right corner.
