Background and Identification
These two laptops are manufactured and sold by Acer Inc., an electronics corporation based in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Acer was founded in 1976. Originally, it specialized in consulting work and distributing for electronics, but split into sales and contracted manufacturing branches. In 2001, Acer sold the contracted manufacturing business side of the company, and began to focus purely on sales. Among the products that they sold were the Aspire computers. The Aspire series covers a wide range of functionalities and sizes, including desktops and laptops for casual household use or high-performance tasks.An Ultrabooked review of an Aspire V5 laptop said “The first impressions of the Acer Aspire V5 laptop are quite good. Its quality is very high, the design is simple and clean, the colors are alright and brightness of the screen is satisfying,” although they had some complaints about the keyboard.
The V5-572 and V5-572G have several variations that depend on region and configuration. The variations can be identified by the serial number or SNID.
