Tamagotchi Paradise - Missing Spring

I took apart my Tamagotchi Paradise to replace the face plate and stupidly dropped the knob.

The small spring fell out of it and disappeared on my floor.

I'm thinking of getting a ballpoint pen spring (which will likely be too narrow) and cutting it down to size to replace it.

Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement spring?

The spring is integral for performing clicks with the knob which is the only way to access Tama Labs for the store and Tama Sitter and Settings.

NOTE: The spring that is missing is NOT related to the battery. It's only function is for knob clicks. The knob is only available on the Tamagotchi Paradise.

Gekozen oplossing

I purchased a set of loose springs (from Amazon) and cut one down (I will edit what size I used later) to about 1/3 it's original length.
I was then able to shove it into the knob and finagle it in place onto the circuit board over the button.

It's not perfect and the inside button of the knob is not flush with the rest of the knob, but it works and presses and depresses correctly now.

Would these do it? I found this Reddit thread that had a very similar issue, and the suggestion was to search for "AAA battery springs." Some folks also suggested shoving a little piece of tinfoil in there in the meantime.

I think it would do, but you would need to cut the spring off from the plate so it would be better to buy a loose spring and cut that to size.

I should note that the spring that is missing is not related to the battery, but is inside the knob that is the main feature of the Tamagotchi Paradise specifically. Tinfoil would not work to fix this issue.

What I ended up doing was purchasing a box of springs of different sizes, finding one in the set that matched the original spring the most, and cutting it down to size (about 1/3 of the replacement spring's original size).
