Battery Behaving Very Strangely

I recently charged my iPhone XS Max (had its battery swapped out a year ago) and it just remained stuck at the dead battery icon no matter how long it charged. So I swapped the battery with the original battery I kept after having replaced it. The phone then turned on but won’t charge beyond 1% with the battery health not showing and the phone dying soon after. How do I fix this? all help would be appreciated!

It sounds like the battery isn’t communicating properly with the system, which is why it won’t charge past 1% and the phone dies quickly. Before trying replacements or repairs, it’s a good idea to run a full battery analysis. That can reveal whether the battery itself is failing, if there are faulty cells, or if the system is limiting charging due to power or sensor issues, giving a clearer picture of what needs to be fixed.
