A new Apple Pencil meant to be a model between the Gen 1 and Gen 2. It costs $79 USD and charges via USB-C. It has the ability to magnetically attach to your iPad, but lacks pressure sensitivity.

Broken USB-C Charging Cover

Hi,

the top cover of my pencil, where the charging port is, is broken.

Are there any spare parts to switch out the cover.

Its the sliding cover.

best regards

Hello @koenner

You might be able to find a replacement part on Ebay or a similar second hand marketplace but... looking at the pictures you sent I see a very easy repair possible. Are you open to explore that possibility?

Let me know and I'll be happy to walk you through the steps to repair it, and after you might not even notice there is a crack.

Adding to what @simfritz says, you could probably fix it fairly easily. I would try gently prying the crack open, then drip a little super glue in, and then tighten it all down with a hose clamp (Or any clamp, for that matter). Then you could use a small scratch-all to clean out the excess glue once it dries, and sand off the excess on the outside. You could then touch up the seam with model paint (you can get that at just about any hobby store, along with the super glue), and it would be (almost) as good as new.
