This depends on how bad the scratch really is. There used to be cleaners available that would sometimes help, but most of these have gone away (much like actual "record stores") since the advent of digital music.

Another tip you could try (after cleaning he record) is to slightly increase the amount of weight on the stylus. Tone arms usually have an adjustment wheel on the back end of the arm. Be aware that too much tone arm weight may cause wear ad damage to your record.

I have been somewhat successful using an ice cube by rubbing it fairly hard into the grooves. This method does not repair the scratch, but as I am typing this I am listening to an older record that I couldn't play through before doing this. I like second hand bargains and am playing it on an Audiotronics schoolhouse player I was able to repair. It's not exactly state of the art but it suits me.

Try a a light-light-light piece of water sandpaper and rub LIGHTLY over the scratch. It works on CD's and DVD's but I haven't tried it on records yet. It may work but again it might not as each song on the record is an etched in image of the songs spectrogram. Sanding it off is removing the song. But try it and see what happens.

Vinyl records can get scratched due to various reasons, such as mishandling, dust and debris, or even using a faulty turntable. Scratches can cause distortion, skipping, and overall poor sound quality. It is important to handle and store your vinyl records properly to prevent scratches and keep them in good condition. However, if your vinyl records do get scratched, there are a few methods to try to remove them.

One method is using a vinyl record cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth to gently clean the record's surface. Another method is using a specialized vinyl record repair kit that includes a liquid solution and a specialized brush to apply and remove the solution from the record's surface. However, these methods are not guaranteed to remove all scratches, and some scratches may be too deep to repair.

Prevention is the key to avoiding scratches on vinyl records. Always handle your records with care, store them in a cool and dry place, and clean them regularly with a specialized record cleaning solution. If your vinyl records do get scratched, try the methods mentioned above, but keep in mind that they may not work for all scratches.
