Depends on the dash cam - a lot of them rely on the 12V cigarette lighter, but as cars begin to drop it they will rely more on USB-A and USB-C. Some allow you to hardware it into the car, but that comes with a massive implication: F the process up, and you risk a denied warranty claim - DON'T DO IT on a new vehicle.

The other option is to piggyback off of one of the higher amp fuses (or if you have an option that isn't present on your car but the fusebox has the right amp support), you can use that dormant fuse slot as they use the same fuse boxes across the lineup and just delete unused fuses.
