My Xbox one halo edition was working fine yesterday. Today I was installing a game and the screen turned gray. I checked the hdmi cable it's fine. I tried a low resolution reset: still gray. I did a hard reset...still gray. The monitor works with my ps5. Is it a hardware issue and how can I tell?

You should check for your Graphic Card specifications. I mean it could be a game which need an upgraded version of GC, in order to run smoothly. I can remember once I tried to play Mortal Kombat 8 with my 4 GB intel GC, just to check the damage. You won't believe there was a smoke on my CPU and the GC was burned completely.

So, it does give you a signal, but just a grey screen?
