I have an original Surface Studio. I can buy a screen damaged Surface Studio 2+ for a couple of hundred dollars. I would like to swap the damaged screen with the functioning screen from the original Surface Studio but do not know if the connectors are the same. I like the 2+ because of the added Thunderbolt 4 ports. Is this possible?

After looking at photos between the two, I’d say there is a very good chance that the displays are swappable. Unfortunately, there isn’t many photos of the connector pins or connection seats themselves, so I can’t guarantee that it’ll work. It would definitely be a calculated risk.

I have a broken screen Surface Studio 1 and a lesser unbroken Studio 1. Is it possible to swap the two between two of the same model? Is there a guide anywhere? Is the process the same as the Studio 2+ they posted online?
