I have an iFixit battery replacement kit for a 2012/2013 MacBook. Will it work in a Mid 2014 model?

If we look at the batteries specs
Late 2013-2014 - Battery Model #A1494
Watt Hours - 98 Wh
Voltage - 11.26 V
Milliamp Hours - 8700 mAh
Mid 2012-Early 2013 - Battery Model #A1417
Watt Hours - 99 Wh
Voltage - 11.26 V
Milliamp Hours - 8800 mAh
They are clearly a bit different, they are also physically different. Why don’t you exchange the battery for the correct one. Give the iFixit Store a ping, I’m sure that can exchange it.

The specs you posted are not significantly different. But, from your comment I looked closer at the two laptops. The batteries are almost identical physically but the connectors are not placed in the same spot on the battery. So, you're right the battery won't fit properly.
Oh, the battery was actually purchased in 2019 but never used. Kind of late for a return! :/
