The DualShock 4 CUH-ZCT2 was announced in 2016 to replace the CUH-ZCT1 controller released in 2013. This controller is similar to the previous model.

Dualshock 4 V2 trigger problems

So i accidentally dropped my DS4 and R2 trigger started to press strangely, like there is something blocking or grazing it.

After disassembly i found that one little thingie that kept the trigger from being pressed too hard (i called it "stopper") broke off from dualshock4 and other thingie is chipped, is there anything i can do? I wonder what will happen if i broke second (already chipped thingie) which now only gets in the way now..

You can see all on the left side of this photo (leftmost thingie is chipped and the right one is broke off completely)

PS - don't mind right side of the photo, everything is intact here!

Hi there!

I'm afraid you need to replace the plastic assembly completely to get this fixed...

DualShock 4 CUH-ZCT2 Motherboard Replacement (Step 11).

It's difficult to find this part. So it's easier just to get a broken controller and get the part from there. Sorry!

That is probably the part you need yes! Please check if you do have the JDS040 so that it will fit without any issues!
