Repair guide and troubleshooting information for Apple wireless mouse with multi-touch support. Model number A1657 or A3204.

Cursor not moving properly

I have bought this mouse around 3 years ago. It worked perfectly well until I accidentally dropped it on a hardwood floor. Since then the cursor won't move well and would move and stop when I move it around. Before dropping it it would work well and I could move it around and it would not get stuck or glitch. Now it's so hard to use it that I started using my trackpad. When I shake it I hear something moving inside it. I need help! This thing cost $100, and I don't want to cause my mom a burden. Anyway, I can fix it myself or is it possible for a technician to fix it?

Carefully use a puff of can’ed air into the lens area underneath to blowout any dust which is now blocking the view of the detector. Sometimes the debris is within the light tube for the detector which is not easy to get to or you knocked the detector loose.
