HDMI color segmentation issue using HDMI port

Hi! My PlayStation 3 (CECHL04) has a problem with the HDMI port. The colors are segmented and it has a red ink to it. I tried using other HDMI ports on my TV and changed the HDMI cable. It worked for a second but after restarting it, it started again. This problem only affects the HDMI output but not the AV output. So the GPU is working fine. But I can't solve the problem, because of my limited knowledge of the PlayStation 3. It doesn't have any heat related issues, because it has been cleaned carefully. Dear, Kaan

How is the HDMI port? Still fine?

It does sound like the HDMI encoder IC which need to be replaced...

It's soldered on the motherboard and so it's quite difficult to replace it.

Wish I had better news :(...

The port had corrosion which I cleaned out but it is clean. I wiggled with the HDMI cable and the screen did go black for a short period of time. It maybe is a bad port but I'll look at the HDMI encoder IC and see if it has a short. But which chip does the CECHL04 has?

Okay, I would replace that one first and see if it works. It still could be a thing that the port is the culprit (this one fail often).

Regarding the HDMI encoder: I think it's the SIL9132CBU HDMI encoder IC2502, but I'm not sure...
