Samsung RSG5UCRS ice problem

Having some ice problems with my 10 year old Samsung RSG5UCRS.

Was all working fine and then one day the dispenser and ice maker stopped working. Have checked water pressure, changed filter and the water dispenser, lights are all working fine.

After a several resets it has made a single tray of ice on two occasions amd the dispenser has worked a couple of times, but it's 99% not functioning. I have replaced the auger motor and ice-maker, but this made no difference so the problem is elsewhere.

Hoping the community can help and maybe someone has has a similar issue and found a solution. Thanks in advance.

Here's a link to the service manual that might help.

Download the manual and then go to p.48 to view the procedure to get into the Troubleshooting > Self-Diagnosis Function > Step.2 Self-Diagnosis Function during Normal Operation and check what error codes are being displayed. The error codes and their meanings are on p.49-p.50.

There are also troubleshooting flowcharts on p.73 - p.74 that may help as well.

That's useful, I've run it and got this error code:

NO. 13

ICE MAKER

ERROR

Description:

I/M Ice Ejection Horizontal Positioning

Error ** Only for Dispenser models

How to do Self-Diagnosis:

After replacing Ice-Maker, plug in the unit

and check its operation.
