Have you tried a different known working micro SD card in the phone to see if that worked OK?
What do you mean when you say "...unexpectedly ejects it"? Does the SIM tray holding the sd card come out of the phone?

@jayeff The SIM tray does not come out of the phone. The SD card just stops working unexpectedly and will only work for a short while after I restart .y phone

Did you try another SD Card, you didn't say?
Has the phone been dropped or gotten wet at all?

@jayeff No, i didn't try another SD card and my phone hasn't got wet at all. I just want to restore and backup all my files on the malfunctioning SD card before I get a new one

Can you try the sd card in another card reader attached to a PC, in another Android phone etc, just to prove whether it is the card or the phone that is the problem.
If it is the card you may have trouble retrieving your data off the card if this is what you meant.
