Screen says Access then Turn off and on again

Is there a way to get past the screen that says the word Access when I turn it on? The light beside the view finder is flashing yellow. The lens extends and retracts multiple times before it shuts off automatically or the screen changes to say Turn off and back on. It's been stored for some time in a zip lock bag but the battery pack charges fine and on the first start up I was able to set the date etc. This problem started the first time I restarted it after date time step.

@wendyringl23615 this "The lens extends and retracts multiple times" would lead me to believe that this is a lens error. Try some of the ideas on here

If none of those work, you should consider replacing the lens. Here is the guide for that Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55 Lens Replacement You can also try to work on your lens by using this DSC W55 Disassembly Only issue with lenses are the lack of spare parts. Maybe a good cleaning might resolve it.
