I have the Same Problem with my Bose, i found a Video on YouTube which fixed it for me. Place a hairdryer in Front of the Display for a Minute or two, the Heat will help the bose to Boot.

@keithmposey the Please Wait just means that the processor can't complete the boot process. For now I suggest that you unplug your Bose radio and leave it unplugged for a fairly long time (like overnight) Hopefully this will reset the processor.

If it does not, then you do want to check all of the electrolytic capacitors inside your Bose. It is possible that your processor can't finish the boot because of power issue.

The Radio is probably old enough to warrant a good cleaning and recapping anyway :-)

I have a AWRCC2 Bose Wave radio. It powers up, shows time... But when I try to turn on the radio it shows the infamous PLEASE WAIT.... I watched a few videos about some possible repairs being the capacitors but I would not know or think of repairing it myself... Is this a service you offer?

PS, I did the unplugging thing... for weeks actually... and prior attempts for a day or so... still says PLEASE WAIT .. Looking for someone to repair it.

I wish I could repair it for you but unfortunately I just do not have the equipment Do that surface mount solder stuff it's Real small you know real small connection I just don't have the equipment to do it I mean switching out a capacitor it's not that hard and there's a few YouTube videos showing exactly which ones go bad You find the capacitor on eBay or just about any place that sells electronic parts it's actually a fairly easy fix.

I don't know if this will work but it did for me, I inserted a cd and it played, upon rejecting the cd the radio began to play.
