@alexandram40967 so if it does not charge you do want to start with the basics. Make sure that your charger has the right voltages. Make sure that you have a good charging cable. Check your charging port to make sure those are not bend/broke/corroded pins. Clean the port of any debris like pocket lint, with a few puffs or compressed air. If that does not work, it is time to disassemble it.
You can check the charging board and see if there are any components that look "odd" I would go ahead and replace that anyway since those are the most common failure. Next check the flex cable from the charging board to the main board. On this series they tear and come loose in the connector. So, check for that and replace if necessary.
After that, the issue will now be on the main board as well as the battery. Go ahead and replace the battery for sure. Anything deeper than that will require that you check your board. For that use the Samsung flowchart
Since iFixit doe snot yet have a guide for this, use something like these guides They are for the S model but it works identically.
While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do. It's easy and fun to create these guides. https://ifixit.com/Guide/new The iFixit community will appreciate this.
