Are A2251 and A2338 screen Compatible?

Hi, my MacBook’s screen got cracked, and I’m searching for a replacement. However, every screen I’ve seen on eBay is labeled as A2251 And A2338. I’m unsure if it will work for me, considering one is for an Intel Mac and the other for Apple Silicon.

To be clear the A2251 is a four port Intel based system and the A2338 is either the M1 or M2 system.

Sadly, Apple alters things between the series that prevent using older displays on newer systems.

The reason you can’t find a display for your M1 system is Apple has now entered into the open parts supply! While that is good for thoughts who want real Apple parts that are fresh. Apple also has tightened things require calibration via a pay-walled tool. While a used screen can be used you will loose TrueTone services. So you’ll need to visit Apples Self Repair Store to get the new display.
