Barely see Apple logo but boots fine to external screen

Would anyone know what the problem may be?

I have a Macbook Pro retina Early 2015 and it boots just fine when connected to an external display. The problem is when I boot without an external display I cannot see what I am doing. The Apple Logo can barely be seen and I can find the bar to type in my password but have to hold the screen and a sharp angle in order to see any of this. I removed the rear panel and there are no visual burns on any components anywhere. I specifically looked in the display connection area and nothing.

Here are the pics of the display logic board.

@megiddo post some pictures of your logic board. That way we can see what you see and can probably point out some of the components you may want to check. Until we see your board, we are assuming that it is a 820-4924

I would do that except I just started it in verbose mode and all of the white letters (barely seen) went scrolling up the screen. Also the apple logo is lit up so I think the lcd is bad. If you have any other suggestions let me know

This sounds like your backlight is out. When the computer is on, is the white Apple on the back of the lid lit up? If not, The backlight is to blame.

First, like you did I would check the connector. The backlight pin for those is all the way to one side, so if the cable to the board is loose, or the pin got bent somehow you might get this sort of behavior. The pin in question is the one furthest from the top edge of the board. If you didn't already I would disconnect and reconnect that cable (unplug the battery first)

Otherwise, this could just be the display, but if it's the board the backlight components for this model are much closer to the middle of the board. There are some capacitors on the side you see when you take the bottom cover off, but much of the backlight circuitry is on the back side. Sometimes it's easy to tell visibly if there's damage.
