This 5-quart tilt-head mixer is available in over 25 colors. It has a polished stainless steel bowl with a handle and a 325-watt motor, making it more powerful than the Classic models.

Oil or grease leaking from bottom of stand.

Is this an easy fix or should I look at replacing it? 15 yr old

Thanks,

Mike

I know this is an old thread, but maybe my comment will be useful to someone.

When the grease in machine leaks out, it can be because the grease has broken down and thinned out, also the screws that hold the machine together may have worked loose. I would first try tightening the screws by removing the drip ring, and turning the unit over (lay it on a towel) and tighten the Philips head screws you see around the perimeter. If they need tightening, and it hasn't lost more than a tablespoon of grease, you are probably good to go.

Otherwise, you will need to open the machine and replace the grease, and inspect the gasket carefully to decide if it needs replacing.
