Will not power on but...

When I plug the headphones in all the lights come on. When I unplug from the charger they will not power on. All lights turn off. They will not power on while charging either. I've tried the reset process and nothing happens. The red light never comes on in any scenario. I did just try with the auxiliary cord and they work. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
