Using the adhesive tape to reattach the screen - Need help

I am struggling using this this iPad Pro 11" (2018/2020) Adhesive Strips to reattach the screen to the ipad. Has any one done this successfully? I have gone through two sets of tape.

There are no clear step by step instructions on how to apply and use the tape.

Totally remove the screen. Remove any traces of the old adhesive from the frame using either alcohol and a cotton bud or a small scraper type blade. Try and remove any adhesive lumps or strips from the screen by rubbing with your thumb. Apply the tape to the sides, top and bottom of the screen then peel off the protective film from the strips, then reattach the cables and fit the plate and screws. Turn on the ipad and check the screen works correctly then close the screen up. Gently press around the the screen to ensure adhesion of the tape. Personally I use tessa tape. Sometimes running a hair dryer around the edges of the screen to heat up the adhesive helps it stick better.

Good luck.
