E15 error but not on eco mode

Hi,

My Bosch dishwasher works perfectly as long as I only use Eco mode. Any other setting fills the base up with water after 40 minutes or so and triggers e15. I can use the machine on eco and it’s alway bone dry every time. What’s different to make it leak if not on eco mode?

Many thanks

The E15 error code on a Bosch dishwasher means that the dishwasher has detected too much water and there's a risk of a leak. The control board receives a signal from the flood switch, activates the water pump to drain the water, and then turns the dishwasher off. The error code could also be caused by a control board glitch.

To fix the error code, you can try:

  • Turning off the water inflow
  • Performing a hard reset by disconnecting the power to the dishwasher for five minutes
  • Tipping the machine to drain the water and investigate the source of the leak

I have found a couple of things are the culprit:

  1. Inlet valve faulty and leaking (Replace)
    1. You'll be able to feel it leaking if this is the case
  2. Fill Hose leaking into the base
  3. Sump Gasket or Diverter Valve (Replace)
    1. This can be tricky. You may be able to put food coloring into the sump and let it run to see where staining shows up.

That gives me a few ideas where to look thank you. The machine never leaks in Eco mode and works fine for months on end. Put it in auto or intensive and it doesn’t make it through a single wash before E15 come up.
