Part fell out from mixer attachment
This just fell out while mixing, doesn't seem to clip back in and doesn't look broken

It looks a bit like part #85 as seen on p.16 of the service manual.
It's held in by fastener part #74

Hi - I had this problem; I opened it up by loosening bolt 82 and found that part 73 had broken. Snapped plastic. Fortunately i had kept a slightly newer model for spares and repairs. The part was metal in the newer model so i hope it will be okay. I think this is the part https://kenwoodchefrestore.co.uk/shop/in....

If this part falls out, the Nylon Planet Hub Gear has cracked inside
Easy fix, remove the retaining bolt using a 5/8 socket, remove the chrome cover you’ll see the cradled gear for replacement
