All of a sudden it sounds like my tv is stuck in surround mode. I've messed with the settings, soft reset, factory reset and am still having the problem. Model number V655-H9. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance. 😊

Have you tried different signal input devices or connection types e.g. dvd player using composite video/audio or TV antenna using coax in, in lieu of HDMI if that's what you're using to check if this alters anything?
Initially just trying to isolate whether it is the input signal (i.e. input signal device) or the TV that is the problem
If it is the TV and it only happens when using HDMI then it could be the HDMI board (if separate) or the mainboard as the HDMI uses a DSP IC (digital signal processor) for video/audio
If it also happens when using Composite audio, the TV Composite audio input uses an analogue audio amp which is also most probably on the mainboard anyway so basically no difference. There's a mainboard problem
Hard to find schematics for TV boards so you may have to replace the mainboard
If it is the HDMI signal input device maybe check its settings or try a different HDMI cable
