Door locks not working

I recently replaced my rear passenger side window motor. (I do want to add that I was send the wrong part. They sent me the rear driver side door motor. But I made it work. The window controls are just backwards now.) In doing so I had to unhook all the connections to the rear door. After I hooked everything up I locked the car with driver door controls. I later tried to open the car with the remote and the doors would not open. I used the key to unlock the doors and tried the driver door controls and now the controls will not work to lock or unlock the car. Any ideas what could be going on?
