A couple of sequences. In scene 1, washer fills and agitator starts. Washer drains then wash light flashes and washer stops. Scene 2 (after Cancel button pressed) -->> Washer stops filling and washer light flashes. Doesn’t even get to agitation. Hiwever, when lid closes water runs briefly then stops filling. That repeats every time lid closes. Brief fill then a click and stops filling and wash light flashes again. Have unplugged for 5' and same thing happens. Any ideas?

Sears put out a lot of different washers under the 110 series. It will give us a much better chance of finding the right answer if we know your particular model number.

Update on symptoms:
With no clothes added, washer goes as far as filling the draining in the wash cycle. At that point the wash light starts to flash. Washer starts to fill then quits and a "clicking" sound is heard. Guessing that is the solenoid activated lid switch. If the switch is closed (as when closing the lid though I did this manually also) the water spurts in for maybe a second then stops.
Opening and closing the lid produces this response (brief spurt of water)
I can hit the "Cancel" button and the washer light goes solid but starts blinking again after the brief spurts of water.
