No power or light on console until I strip it down.

So my n64 was working fine. I opened it up and deep cleaned it cause it's never been done. Now I have no power or red light. I opened it up and stripped it down to the main board and plugged it in to follow the voltage, and it turned on normally. Thinking I somehow fixed it I put it back together but it would no longer turn on. It only works when its stripped down. I bought a new power supply, but it made no difference.
