Single vertical yellow line on screen.

Hello Sam,

Got the exactly same issue on my TV (UE43RU7105), excepted the line is yellow and not red (was black the first days..)

It happened after I opened the TV to replace the PSU board because I had a backlight problem.

Maybe I accidentally touched something while using the opening tool all around the TV ...

Anyway, I would have liked to know if you got a feedback from a professional at the end?

you will find below a few pictures of my screen and the yellow line.

Good thing is : changing the PSU solved my backlight issue (light backlight always lit when TV powered off in standby mode...)

I will open another topic for this to try to repair this old PSU board

To get back to the yellow line issue, maybe I put a bit too much pressure when opening the TV and then touched a TAB accidentaly .. not sure where to look for ..

jean-michel.sava not sure about Sam. Looks like he has not been back since 5/20 :-) Anyhow, a single vertical line like on the OP TV as well as what you describe on yours is a TAB error. Not a T-con board or a main board error. Those are Tab errors. That is where the "bonding" that adheres the thin ribbon cables to the actual panel, come lose and make no longer contact with the panel. Take a really close look at those and apply some gentle pressure on them. You will most likely see that the lines either change or disappear. That is incredible, difficult to fix, but sometimes some downward pressure applied by some adhesive tape etc. can make them go away. For a while at least. If you have trouble identifying the ribbon and Tab, just post some more images of what you see on the top of your LCD panel.

@jmsava thank you for the pictures. Yes, that dis a TAB error. Apply some pressure on it and see if that line changes/disappears. There is not much you can do otherwise

Hello I have the same or similar problem with my tv!

I've had it for just a little over a year and this yellow and black strip came out of no where. I really hope you can confirm that the problem is the same, meaning its a tab problem?

I would really like it if it were something i can fix myself rather than paying for a repair.

I hope the picture i included is clear enough.
