iPhone 6 refuses to turn on

Hello, I have had this iPhone 6 that would randomly just have lines appear on the screen when I reattached the screen cables it seemingly fixed it although a few hours later the phone suffered a small hit and screen started flickering. I reattached the cables but that only made it worse as there were now faint vertical stripes across the screen and touch was half working. I reattached the cables again and then it completely stopped showing anything on the screen and there was no vibration when I flicked the mute switch. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Forgot to mention. I had also cleaned the contacts 2 times with 99% isopropyl alcohol with a toothbrush.

Update: The phone has magically came back to life and is now showing the battery flat symbol.

Oh well that's good news hopefully it stays that way. I have a lenovo laptop that has really dodgy wifi and bluetooth after driver updates and is never really stable.

Update 2: Phone has turned on, had the screen freak out when it passed the apple logo then it started having the touch issues again it started having a strobe effect on the edges of the screen

Oof i told u it would never be stable. In all seriousness though this is more than likely a deeper logic board issue.

Good morning,

As far as I can tell, you did open the phone.

Let's get to the troubleshooting steps:

  1. Have you tried checking the connections between components such as the battery
  2. Have you connected a charger and/or a charge meter to test if it receives a charge
  3. Have you checked to see if there is a short and subsequently, some smoke.

Yes, I did check the battery connection. I have connected a charger and tried powering on the phone ( still no luck ) I did not test for a short but I’m sure there is no component shorting out as the phone was working before I reconnected the cables also there was no smoke either.

Have you replaced the screen on the phone?

I had an iPhone 6 a while back with touch screen sometimes not working and then lines as soon as I disconnected and reconnected the cables. Sometimes no power. Turns out the display was faulty and had something called ghost touch. This was with the original screen, if you have a test screen at all it would be useful trying that one to see if you get the same results.

The screen is perfectly working I had done a logic board swap with the iPhone cause the old logic board was all messed up, had frequent random shutdowns and took about 12 hours plugged for the iPhone to turn on and a new battery didn’t fix. It’s a problem with the new logic I swapped in which must just have like bad solder joints or something.
