Mobile data not working correctly sometimes

My mobile data stops working normally 1 or 2 times a day. I have to enable and disable airplane mode. It does NOT display "no service'' and I can still make calls and send normal text messages when it happens. Websites won't load but YouTube video's do. I tried most normal troubleshooting steps. Its on iOS 15.4.1. Does anybody else have this issue or is it caused by my carrier or is it an hardware issue?? This iPhone is only a week old.

I'd be surprised if this were a hardware issue. But if you have an Apple Store nearby and some spare time, a visit to the Genius Bar couldn't hurt. They can run a diagnostic test on the cellular RF hardware. (Make sure you have your data backed up first, because repair/replacement will mean data loss otherwise.)

To help isolate the cause, it would be worthwhile to start logging whenever this happens. Then look for any patterns, like time of day, location, any accessories in use, etc. That could help sort out whether there's an environmental cause that's within your control (as opposed to a carrier issue).

Are you using a VPN? When my cellular data temporarily loses internet access, my VPN is inevitably the cause.

Thanks for your reply. I would be surprised aswel, I’ve already tested the #*06* and field test mode and I plugged it in to 3uTools to see if there’s something up with baseband but it definitely doesn’t look like it. It also doesn’t have any of the baseband failure symptoms. Its strange because calls and texts still work and YouTube videos for example also load normal. The bad thing is that I don’t live near an Apple store, only an AASP. It would probably mean that they send it to a repair center and they probably can’t reproduce the issue in the short tests they perform. It did happen at a few specific locations. It happened 3 days in a row while riding the train at the same location, but It can also happen at home and work if I use cellular instead of WiFi. I never had this issue on my old phone. It could be caused by the 15.4.1 update but there’s no way to be sure. I’m worrying to much about this as the consequences would be big if it is a hardware issue. Or I just could live with it as it isn’t that bad.

I will instal 15.5 Beta 1, it includes an pretty big modem update so it may fix it.

You might want to check the network settings on the phone itself. To do this, you need to open the general settings and find the desired category. Then compare it to the network operator in your city. If it doesn't match, then reconfigure it. If there is a match, then reconfigure the proxy servers. If you need the proxy to visit blocked sites and social networks, you can use HTTP/HTTPS proxies. You may find https://soax.com/premium-proxy-trial helpful for this. But for web anonymity, data parsing, SMM, and SEO, SOCKS should be preferred.

omg, I had the same problem as you on my iPhone 13 Pro Max but it seems my error was simpler when I did a factory reset the problem was fixed. I think it's most likely just a software bug.
