Ifixit Battery replacment not being recognized after 6 months of use
Hello iFixit Community.
I replaced my original battery from my A1398 Macbook Pro few months back.
I am always using my laptop with the power plugged so battery is not really used.
3 days ago the MBP was not able to power on. I tried a different charger and it eventually did. But the ifixit battery was not recognized. It showed an X over the battery. And the system was running suuuuper slow.
I plugged off the battery and tried to reset SMC and other things that I found here or on ther forums. But the battery is not recognized at all!!
Tried the coconutBattery as many suggest, but it showed nothing!
Eventually i was forced to put back in the original battery which it is recognized to be able to work on the laptop.
Does it seem as a faulty battery replacement?
Does anyone else have an idea?
Do I get a replacement of my purchase from iFixit for the faulty part?
Thank you!
John
EDIT 1/

I have. Coconut Battery was showing that there is no battery installed. Thus, no battery information whatsoever.
Tried SMC reset PRAM reset but still unable to recognize the battery.
Right now I have the old battery installed and im unable to take screenshots

For now do your old battery and it does sound like your new battery is bad.
